Mass Overdose of homeopathic remedies.

In an effort to prove the fallacy of Homeopathic remedies Perth Skeptics are going to take an overdose of Homeopathic remedies to raise public awareness about the fact that there is nothing in them. The “overdose” will take place at The Flying Scotsman in Mount Lawley. On Saturday 30th of January 2010.

This is a part of the 10:23 campain against Homeopathy.

At 10:23am (UK Time) on January 30th, more than three hundred homeopathy sceptics nationwide will be taking part in a mass homeopathic ‘overdose’ in protest at Boots’ continued endorsement and sale of homeopathic remedies, and to raise public awareness about the fact that homeopathic remedies have nothing in them.

Skeptics and consumer rights activists will publicly swallow an entire bottle of homeopathic ‘pillules’ to demonstrate that these ‘remedies’, prepared according to a long-discredited 18th century ritual, are nothing but sugar pills.
The protest will raise public awareness about the reality of homeopathy, and put further pressure on Boots to live up to its responsibilites as the ‘scientist on the high street’ and stop selling treatments which do not work.

Since Homeopathy is a fake medicine with no active ingredients overdosing does nothing more than show Homeopathy for the pseudo-science that it is. We want pharmacies who sell Homeopathy to take notice of the fact that they are selling false medicine to the public.

Although Homeopathy contains no active ingredient it still poses a serious threat to patients suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer because it offers them a false alternative to the real treatment that could save their life. There is nothing harmless about selling fake medicine and there have even been deaths as a result of people refusing genuine treatment in favor of false alternatives.

Thats an eclectic mix of subjects
Dan. I have researched the moon landings for several years, intensely over the last few months.

Sorry to break the news to you, much as we’d all like to believe in it, the moon landings are a dud.
It takes some considerable and rigorous discipline to identify and adress a personal belief system and alter it if the logic of that belief simply doesnt add up.

Take enough time to thoroughly research the programne, the political background, and particularly the way you , in yourself respond to and identlfy with the positives associated with the astonishing "success"" of the Apollo programne.

When the penny finally drops, you will burst out laughing, and say "Oh for Christs sake!, why couldn’t I see that before."……….."".the whole thing is bloody ludicrous".

If you are at all interested, in how we are duped by thses things ………..try a site called "Medical Professionals for the Truth 911′ " for an essay by Larry Burk MD.
I am in no way inferring that Dr Burk has an opnion on the moon landings either way, he may well believe in them, but his essay will give an insight into the efficacy of a compliant media in shaping belief.

There may be some "nut jobs" out there , but there are also many many very intelligent and highly informed people who have seen through the scam. The fact that such a strong challenge exists to the official story of the Apollo programne is not due to intellectual limitations of the challengers, it exists because of the fact that the programne as presented is just sheer nonsense technically. That is not to say there is anything unintelligent in sustaining a belief in a fallacy, if the fallacy has been presented in a certain convincing way, then it is perfectly reasonable to continue with that belief. Contradictory imformation simply may not register.

The computing power to effectively control a rocket powered landing did not appear till decades after the apollo programne. The capacity for an individual to fly and land land the LM as presented is just plain silly. There are at least twenty other reasons why the Apollo programne is a joke, that have "never been adressed seriously by the defenders of the programne.

Technical difficulties will prevent humans venturing beyond the magnetosphere for decades yet (and surviving} Curiosly no human other than the astronauts involved in astonishinglgy successfull "Lunar Landings" has ever been further than 500 kilometres from the Earths surface. NASA’s own technical staff have recently given explanation for that, but hope to overcome those limitations in the next couple of decades. Ah the value of compartmentalising!!!!

Apolloreality, and Wagging the Moondoggie, are two site, perhaps somewhat flamboyaqnt and the frustration of their authors shows through here and there, that are entertaining and while I don’t necessarily agree with everything they say, they are certainly worth a look.

The "Truth is not OUT THERE, the truth is that bloody great elephant in the room, and trust me that elephant will set you free.
